Hello!

Before you read any further, I want you to know two important things about me:

  • I care about my clients.
  • I’ve been divorced so I know what you’re going through.

I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine and my law degree from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa.  I graduated from Drake Law School with honors.  (So that means I’m dedicated to learning and you’ll benefit from my knowledge.)  I was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, an organization recognizing excellence in appellate advocacy, and was a top four finalist in the C. Edwin Moore oral advocacy competition.  (In other words, I’m good at public speaking, especially when I’m advocating for my clients.)

But enough of that blah, blah, blah “where I went to school” stuff. Here’s the bottom line: It’s important to me that you feel heard, that you have a lawyer or mediator that truly cares about you. Many people in your situation have said they want an attorney who listens to them, explains the divorce process in plain English, and guides them forward in their lives. They’ve said they want a lawyer who answers their questions, and doesn’t make them feel stupid. They want someone who strongly advocates for them and treats everyone in a civil, polite manner. I’ve been where you are, and it’s my primary goal to help you come out of the divorce process in a positive, forward-thinking way.

I have offices in West Des Moines and in Indianola.
